Reentry Navigation Services
DOC Reentry Navigators help people finishing a Washington prison sentence build an Individual Reentry Plan, line up DSHS benefits, SSI and WorkSource, and get hands-on help after release with bank accounts, job searches, phones, transportation and basic digital skills. Limited money for food, clothing and housing is available.
Extended Foster Care Program
Lets young adults who were dependent on their 18th birthday stay in care to age 21 with a foster or supervised independent living placement (shared living, apartment or dorm), medical, dental and mental health coverage, transitional living services and a DCYF caseworker.

Get an ID Card

24-hour statewide line for anyone in a substance use crisis, their families and friends, and providers. Staff give treatment information, crisis intervention, help finding medication for opioid use disorder, SUD evaluations, recovery and family support, and resource navigation.
DESC Survival Services
Seattle's lowest-barrier shelter network: nightly beds at the Main Shelter (517 Third Ave, 220 people), Navigation Center, Queen Anne Shelter and other sites, plus hot meals and a daytime safe haven. Priority goes to chronically homeless adults, with outreach staff assessing needs and linking people to housing and treatment.
Mary's Place Family Shelter Line
Emergency shelter and day services for families with children experiencing homelessness in King County, including families fleeing violence. Call the shelter line for a bed, or drop in at the Allen Family Center for shelter referral, housing support and service navigation.
Seattle's Union Gospel Mission Referral and Intake
Coordinated intake for people in Seattle struggling with homelessness, addiction or mental health who want a path off the streets. Staff assess needs and connect callers to the Mission's shelters, meals and Christ-centered residential recovery programs.
Recovery Café South Lake Union
Free recovery community for adults recovering from addiction, homelessness and mental health challenges. Members get meals, classes and a weekly Recovery Circle in exchange for staying drug- and alcohol-free on site and contributing to the community. Walk in during open hours; no enrollment pressure on the first visit.
Pioneer Human Services
Washington's largest reentry provider: runs all four federal residential reentry centers in the state, transitional and permanent housing in King, Skagit, Spokane and Whatcom counties, job training (G.R.O.W. in Spokane, INVEST in South Seattle), and residential, outpatient and in-jail substance use and mental health treatment.

Free advocacy support line for anyone experiencing abuse, with trained advocates available 6am–10pm daily for emotional support, safety planning, shelter and housing options and referrals. Overnight calls transfer automatically to the National Domestic Violence Hotline. Chat is also available.
Tacoma Rescue Mission Downtown Shelters
Overnight shelter for single men and unaccompanied women at the downtown Tacoma campus, with daily public breakfast and dinner and a Wednesday clothing room. Men sign up for a bed starting at 3:30pm (roll call 6:30pm); women sign up at 6:30pm (roll call 8pm). Family shelter is by inquiry only.
YWCA Pierce County Crisis Hotline
Crisis line for domestic violence survivors in Pierce County staffed by trained advocates, with access to emergency shelter in individual apartments, free civil legal advocacy, support groups, a children's program and a walk-in resource center. After business hours the site also points callers to the National DV Hotline.
Union Gospel Mission Men's Shelter and Recovery
Spokane shelter for men offering a bed, three meals a day, and entry into long-term residential recovery, mentorship, job training and transitional housing. Call or come to the Trent Avenue shelter to ask about a bed.
Union Gospel Mission Women and Children's Shelter
Emergency shelter in northeast Spokane for women and women with children, with meals, a bed, and connections to the Mission's recovery, mentorship and job-training programs.
House of Charity
Downtown Spokane shelter and day center for men 18 and older with three meals, showers, laundry, lockers, mail, an SSI/SSDI attorney on Thursdays, CHAS street medicine and mobile SUD treatment seven days a week. Beds are assigned by referral from the Navigation Center at 527 S Cannon St.
YWCA Spokane 24-Hour Helpline
Confidential 24-hour line for survivors of intimate partner violence in Spokane County, with advocates who screen for the YWCA's confidential safe shelter (hotel placement when full), set up support advocate meetings, and connect survivors to the weekly First Step Fridays legal clinic. Monday walk-in hours at the N Monroe office.
Cheyenne Workforce Center
One of 18 state Workforce Centers with free help on resumes, job searches, skill building, and career changes. Casper (444 W Collins Dr #1100, 307-234-4591) and Laramie (3817 Beech Street #100, 307-742-2153) have centers too.
